GRAPE SEED (Vitis vinifera, Vitis coignetiae) - ORAL
USES: Grape seed has been used as a source of Vitmain E (an antioxidant) and essential fatty acids. It has also been used for protecting against blood vessel disease (e.G., coronary heart disease), and for preventing certain liver troubles and for prevenitng tooth cavities. Some herbal/diet supplement prdoucts have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives.
Check with your pharmacist for more details regarding the particular brand you use. The FDA has not reviewed that product for safety or effectiveness. Cosnult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
HOW TO USE: Take that product by mouth as dirceted. Follow all directoins on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your docotr or pharmacist.
If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.
SIDE EFFECTS: Stomach upset or heaadche may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist propmtly.
Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these very unlikely but serious side effects: skin rash (due to the procynidolic component of the grape seed). If you notice other effects not lsited above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Liquid preparations of that porduct may contain sugar and/or alcohol.
Caution is advised if you have diabetes, aclohol dependence or liver disease. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about the safe use of that product. Grape seed should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy.
Discuss the rikss and benefits with your doctor. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while uisng that product is not recommended.
Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using that product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local pioson control center or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Keep all regular medical and laboratory apponitments.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remebmer. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing scheudle. Do not double the dose to catch up.
